Agentschap NL

1. How does the network benefit your organisation?
Due to its recent membership Agentschap NL cannot yet indicate the practical benefits of being a member of the network. Yet as Agentschap NL operates in chains in which other APF members are also active, the benefits will lie in exchanging experiences, contacts and information on the chains and on actors in the chain. Next to this, coordination between members in discussions with embassies, and the institutional environment in general will generate a coherent message which will in turn improve projects and collaboration abroad.

2. Please give an example of a joint action, in which the APF network played a visible role.
Joint action can at this moment be found in the collaboration within the Task Team for Food Security. The APF network provides input to DDE (Sustainable Economic Development), thus one can consider that the network enhances advocacy in the Netherlands in the field of policy advice for development cooperation.

3. If you were in charge, what should the APF network look like in 5 years’ time?
True exchange between people working at various organisations would be an interesting development. A lot of expertise on various agricultural topics is available within the network and it would be interesting if this expertise can be called upon even by way of secondments between the organisations.

4. How will your organisation contribute to the APF network in the next 2 years?
Agentschap NL is very open to sharing expertise in agriculture and in making investments in agriculture successful. In addition, Dutch companies can share their practical expertise for judging the feasibility of agricultural projects and investment proposals.
