The partnership promotes farmer entrepreneurship in developing countries. The Agri-ProFocus office supports this by facilitating effective cooperation between the Agri-ProFocus members in country programmes and joint trajectories and by stimulating exchange and learning among professionals and farmers.
Country Focus
One of the main goals of Agri-ProFocus is to build solid, transparent and action-oriented support programmes to promote farmer entrepreneurship. Therefore the partnership is developing country programmes, starting in seven African countries based on existing programmes and joint identified direct and indirect requests from producer organisations (POs) through the members of Agri-ProFocus.
Trajectories
In addition to the Country Focus Agri-ProFocus continues to develop and implement joint trajectories with producer organisations for farmer entrepreneurship and capacity building of producer organisations. These trajectories are implemented within the thematic areas of value chain development, access to financial services and sustainable food production, with gender as cross-cutting theme.
Exchange and Learning
Agri-ProFocus supports exchange and learning for joint action in the capacity building of producer organisations and promotion of farmer entrepreneurship. The learning agenda includes practical topics that will enhance the knowledge of producer organisations and Agri-ProFocus network professionals alike. Activities to support learning and innovation are learning events and meetings, Q & A, research and documentation practice (themes), the producer organisations database and a platform for debate.
Please take a look at the upcoming events for scheduled learning events and other meetings.
Q&A
As part of the exchange and learning agenda Agri-ProFocus offers a Question & Answer service for questions concerning the Agri-ProFocus partnership, agricultural producer organisations and activities of the support office.
