ETC Foundation is a hybrid organisation (NGO-knowledge institute-consultancy), has currently 70 employees and is active in 62 countries. ETC works on a variety of themes ranging from rural development, natural resource management, energy access to health management. ETC is a member of ETC International Group and is also active in the Netherlands- "think globally, act locally". Three examples of ETC supported programs are:
- Prolinnova working towards local innovation through capacity building, policy dialogue and multi stakeholder partnerships
- RUAF: Resource centres on Urban Agriculture and Food Security
- COMPAS: Program for Endogenous Development and Cultural Diversity

ETC intends to contribute to the Agri-ProFocus partnership by availing expertise for workshops and meetings, linking to other networks and sharing expertise in areas like participatory innovation, multistakeholder processes and the organisation of thematic knowledge centres.

ETC expects to gain value through networking with other Agri-ProFocus members, strengthening the debate on sustainable rural development, contacts in the south and 'linking and learning'.
